1. Who we are

Wimbi is provided by Stefano Ferrari, Via Viappiani 40, 42014 Castellarano (RE), Italy ("Wimbi", "we", "us"). Where we determine how and why personal data is processed, we are its controller.

Privacy contact: support@wimbi.app.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Wimbi mobile application (the "App"). Wimbi helps you discover, organize, and play online media while keeping your personal library on your device.

3. Information processed

Information stored on your device

The App may store liked items, playlists, playlist names and descriptions, saved artists and albums, listening history, recent searches, preferences, content metadata, and lyrics timing adjustments. This information remains on your device and can be removed by clearing it in the App or uninstalling the App.

Online services

To provide search, media, lyrics, metadata, and public-information features, the App sends requests from your device to the relevant third-party service. A request may include search terms, content identifiers, titles, artist names, duration, IP address, and standard device, app, or browser information.

Some features use YouTube API Services. Information processed by Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Third-party services may store or access information on your device and may process information outside your country, as described in their own privacy policies. Wimbi does not control their independent processing or retention.

Communications

If you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, message, and any diagnostic details you choose to include.

4. Why we process information

We process information as needed to provide features you request, maintain and protect the App, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable law. Where the GDPR applies, the relevant legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing

Information is shared with the relevant third-party media, lyrics, metadata, and public-information services only as needed to provide their features. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal data.

6. Retention

Information stored by the App remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the App. Support communications are kept only for as long as needed to respond, maintain appropriate records, and meet legal obligations. Third-party services apply their own retention rules.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise a right concerning information controlled by Wimbi, contact support@wimbi.app. Requests concerning information controlled by a third-party service should be directed to that service.

You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Italy, this is the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (garanteprivacy.it).

8. Children

The App is not directed to children below the minimum age required to use online services in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us contrary to applicable law, please contact us.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information under our control. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the App or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law.
